The days are getting shorter and the leaves are starting to fall off the trees- Autumn is on its way! The BBQ’s are getting packed away and the slow cookers are coming out ready for delicious, warming stews!

As well as all the tasty meat always on offer at Hall Farm, it is now that time of year for Game to also be on the menu. Venison and Partridge are now available in the shop for you to have something a bit different to normal! As always, the meat is as local as possible- as close as Dennington for the Venison!

So, why not eat with the seasons and create yourself something a little different for dinner tonight! If you don’t fancy cooking then we can also help you out, with a Venison and red wine suet topped pie from the deli for you to just simply warm up in the oven.

Hall Farm have a wide range of delicious meats, deli items and condiments to entice you with and we are now adding a range of fabulous puddings! Everyone likes something sweet after dinner and now you’ll be able to buy your mains and dessert in the shop!

All of our meals, pies and puddings are homemade in our brand new kitchen on the farm. Our sweet treats will include apple pies, crumbles and sticky toffee puddings. They are hearty portions available in a smaller or larger size and you will also be able to freeze them if you need it for a later date! Another thing you won’t have to worry about- other than deciding whether to have custard or ice cream!

Slow cooking is a brilliant way to get the most out of this cut of meat. Shoulder of Pork requires a long, low, steady temperature to make it lovely and tender. The longer it is cooked for, the more tender it becomes.

Whether you are slow roasting for a mid week meal or making yourself some pulled pork to go alongside our burgers on the BBQ, it will be delicious. Pork is a great source of protein and has plenty of vitamin B and minerals, so it’s also very nutritious! So, why not give it a go and see how good it tastes!

All homemade, of course! And, to wash it all down- why not take away a tasty bottle of local apple juice too, which is available in store.
