Like always, all of our meat is local (within 15 miles of Framlingham) and reared to a very high standard, therefore insuring the tastiest meat possible.

Quality doesn’t have to cost a fortune

People use their local Butchers for those “special, one-off meals”, like Valentines Day, Christmas, or even a planned Sunday roast with all the family. But we can also cater for those budget, mid-week meals.

We understand that it is not possible or practical to eat steak 7 nights a week (as much as some of us would like too – including me!). This is why we always have your cheaper meat basics in the counter. From mince, to sausages to chicken thighs with so many more cheaper cuts of meat available.

Have you tried substituting stewing steak for chunks of beef shin or skirt? It takes longer to cook, but it does not only lower the cost of your dish, but also gives an amazing flavour.

You can come in and see us in the shop 6 days a week and buy any quantity, of any meat you like. Whether that is a 5 rib of beef on the bone, or 2 sausages. All of our meat is fresh therefore we can package your items separate in quantities or weights you want, which makes it easier for you to freeze.

With the festive season over, left overs eaten and trying 9 different dishes with turkey, we are all back to normal!

It is that chilly time of year when we all crave long, slow cooked dishes with minimal effort required, and this is something we can help with.
As well as our choice of slow cooking meats from Lamb Shanks to Brisket, our “Prepared for You” range gives you the chance to have a proper homemade meal without all the faff! We all know what it is like to have days when you work late, get stuck in traffic or just cant be bothered! That is what this range is all about – ease!

All of our dishes are made by us, with the same meat we sell every day. Keeping it local, fresh and tasty!

Christmas is on it’s way!

With Halloween done, this means one thing… Christmas is on it’s way, and we are taking orders!

From local Bronze Turkeys to 5 Ribs of Beef, we have all the meat you will need to make your Christmas dinner perfect!

As always, all of our meat is local (within 15 miles of Framlingham), reared and treated to the highest welfare standard. So whether its Goose, Duck, Chicken, Lamb, Beef, Pork, Turkey or one of our amazing glazed Gammons, we know you will be getting the best.
    As well as all of your Christmas meats we also stock a large range of ‘Stokes Sauces’, Stocks, Stuffings and Goose Fat. (Sometimes the roast potatoes are just as important!!)
     Also, please ask us about our multiple bird roasts. They are a long process to create, but are really worth it!
     If you would like to place an order for Chrsitmas, come into the shop, give us a ring or send us an email and we will be happy to help if you have any questions.

Don’t forget pigs in blankets, sausage meat and streaky bacon! It wouldn’t be Christmas without them!

Our Beef

Our Beef

With BBQ season coming to an end, Roast dinners are definitely on the cards, and our beautiful joints of Beef will make a good Roast dinner, an amazing one!

Our beef is reared in Peasenhall (8 Miles away from the Butchers shop), on the Tompkins farm. This is Daniels (our manager) family farm, where his Grandma and Uncle still work daily. From here it is then sent to the local abbatoir at Eye. This means the beef that we sell, is never more than 14 miles away from Framlingham, and we can also tell you everything you would want to know about the meat itself. As a standard our beef is always hung for betwen 21 and 28 days, but we can also tell you the breed, and anything else you might want to know about the animal.

We always have amazing feedback about all of our meat, especially the Beef, some even saying its the “best beef they have ever had”.
This makes us so proud and why we pride ourselves on the standard and quality in how all of our meat is reared and sold.

So whether its some of our outstanding Steaks, a good piece of Topside for the big family gathering, a huge bit of Rib on The Bone
that would make anyones mouth water, or a handful of our Mince to make burgers or Spaghetti Bolognese. We are sure you will not be dissappointed.
